About me (Jewellery maker)

The first to suffer from my creativity was my Sindy doll when I was young. I forced her to wear outfits, either made from scratch (out of felt - she still hasn't forgiven me) or one of her existing outfits, customised by me.

This costume/clothing obsession continued for the next 20 years including 2 years of fashion college, 3 folders jam packed with clothing ideas, copious amounts of wasted fabric and a very poorly sewing machine ready for retirement.

The years went on and not succeeding to make it in the fashion world, I joined the usual toil of the nine to fivers.
Then one day, around August 2005, my brain shifted and my thoughts turned to jewellery - more manageable, smaller scale and less need for plasters after horrible pinning accidents.

With the help of the internet, I started to search for what was out there. I found shrinkles, glass, crystals, rubber stamps, ink, heat guns, glitter, beads, soldering, clasps, vintage pictures, acetate, sterling silver, charms, beads, sparkle, film cells, more sparkle, textured paper, ribbons, even more sparkle!!!!

My fashion designs have been put away (but not forgotten) and substituted for jewellery idea scrapbooks. My workroom is a mess with beads everywhere but at least when the sunlight is right they fill the room with rainbows.

A lot of help(THANK YOU-you know who you are), a lot of work and a lot of large credit card bills later and here it is; ready to take on the fashionistas and ready to provide you with items which will hopefully make you smile.
